Seven notes on organic manure composting

1.Soil organic matter
Organic matter is an important factor for the survival and reproduction of microorganisms. A large number of studies have shown that in high-temperature aerobic composting, the content of organic matter suitable for composting ranges from 20% to 80%. When it is lower than 20%, it is not conducive to the reproduction of microorganisms. When it is higher than 80%, the excess organic matter has a greater demand for oxygen. And it often fails to reach aerobic state and produces foul odor, which cannot make aerobic composting go smoothly.
2.Organic Fertilizer Starter
Organic fertilizer starter can speed up the fermentation. Adding well-decomposed manure can speed up the fermentation.
3.Moisture
The main function of water in compost is to dissolve organic matter and participate in the metabolism of microorganisms. When the water evaporates, it will take away a lot of heat and play a role in regulating the temperature of the compost. The amount of water in the compost material directly affects the cycle and quality of aerobic composting fermentation, and even the success or failure of the aerobic composting process.

4.C/N
One of the key factors in composting operation is the C/N in the pile, which is generally between 20 and 30. Too high ratio will multiply a large number of microorganisms, thereby consuming a large amount of carbon, until it reaches a balance point for their reproduction and survival. If the carbon-nitrogen ratio is too low, especially when the PH and temperature are high, the nitrogen in the pile will volatilize in the form of ammonia, which will cause the loss of nitrogen and affect the compost product.
5.Oxygen
Aerobic composting uses aerobic microorganisms to rapidly degrade organic matter in an aerobic state. Aeration is one of the important factors for the success of aerobic composting. One function of ventilation is to provide oxygen to the microorganisms in the reactor. Another function is to adjust the temperature. The third function is to promote the loss of water to reduce the water content.
6.Temperature
For the composting system, temperature is the reaction of the microbial activity, and it is the main factor that affects the microbial activity and the composting process. Microorganisms in compost decompose organic matter to release heat, which raises the temperature of the compost. and when the compost temperature exceeds 65°C, it is not good for composting, so the compost temperature is controlled at about 45°C to 55°C.
7.PH
During the composting process, the PH value is an important factor. Generally speaking, composting operations can be carried out if the PH is between 3-12. The low PH sometimes severely inhibits the progress of the composting.
The best organic fertilizer should be thoroughly decomposed. The raw materials are more easily decomposed and the yield is better after being turned by the organic fertilizer turning machine. This is also the reason why organic fertilizer composting is inseparable from the organic fertilizer turning machine. We have many types of equipment for fermenting, and different equipment plans need to be formulated according to the different materials and capacity. Welcome to contact us for specific information.
